About

In therapy, connection with your therapist is essential to making positive changes.

My clinical approach is founded on developing a strong therapeutic connection so you feel comfortable sharing your stories with me. During our sessions, you feel heard and validated. You receive the same level of engaging, empathetic service whether you choose in-person therapy in Brooklyn or virtual therapy in NYC.

I honor your lived experiences and their significance to your healing process. Together, we explore your personal narratives to better understand your maladaptive behavior patterns. By expanding your perspective, you begin to make deliberate, value-aligned decisions.

Our dynamic interpersonal relationship allows us to relate to one another on a deeper level. The transparent, collaborative, and caring therapeutic environment creates an optimal foundation for making positive and lasting changes.

My adherence to the participant-observer model sets me apart from other New York City therapists. Rather than simply directing you on what you should do, I ask questions, share feedback and insights and engage in the therapy session along with you.

I acknowledge where you are in your therapeutic journey. While you may require gentle nudging to make necessary adjustments to facilitate your needs, you won’t be pressured to move too fast. Your journey to wellness is at your pace, not mine.

The goal of each session isn’t to reach a certain objective I’ve set for you. It’s to help you create a more flexible, coherent, and affirming narrative for yourself. Because I use this interpersonal, client-centered approach, your therapy sessions become an emotional experience to help you heal from past traumas and pain.

We'll work toward positive long-term changes in a collaborative interpersonal relationship. Whether you choose therapy in Brooklyn or virtual therapy in NYC, you won’t just learn to change your maladaptive behaviors, but you’ll also come to know and understand who you really are and the person you want to be.
